I don't know about the other patch but I can say there are many issues with various in-game quests, items, and conversations that are addressed only with the Unofficial 4. Last time I checked it out it was at v4. See Bloodlines Tech support forum: » forumplanet. I recommend using STEAM's backup feature to save the default install first - then you won't need to download it again.
Removing is only possible by reinstallation. If it is not there I will try to remember where I found it. The resolution patcher is hosted at FilePlanet.
Read through the link above for more tweaking. Instructions: 0. VTMB cannot run at the time of patching. One of my favorite games. Chris to TK Premium Member Dec am to TK Thank you all for the help in getting up and running with installing the patch, but since it says to extract into the game folder, where do I find it since I bought the game on Steam?
And the graveyard quest, my goodness that was fun with a level 5 Celerity. I tried that quest about six times with the Ventrue and failed miserably each time; with the Brujah it was a cakewalk. Feeding on rats is also quite fun and it's something I couldn't do with the Ventrue. When you use bloodbuff to pick the locks in the sewers all you need is three tasty rats to get your blood back.
Now that was fun, as was outrunning his attempted foot stomping. Taking out the Sabbat boss was hilarious as I'd get to him when his head was first popping out of the floor and I'd be carving him up with a Katana even before he managed to stand up. Then I'd continue to carve when he was out of the floor and again when he was going back under. Teleportation was a dis advantage for this guy against me.
The Bishop was a bit of a challenge because he had Celerity but I activate all three disciplines Presence is a solid ternary skill and I finished him off pretty quickly. I can't wait to take out the later bosses like Ming Xiao and the Sheriff. I'm going to pick the Anarch ending so I can carve up everyone like the pansies they are. Truly one of the great things about the game is the depth it offers with the multiple character classes depending on your play style.
I am so glad to hear you've discovered the true way the game was meant to be played - celerity'in the shit out of people. Once you have tried celerity, you can never go back, and potency is just overkill but I am certainly not complaining! However, in Bloodlines I played as a Toreador, simply because I couldn't deal with how ugly the Brujah were.
I do have to give props to the Malkavians for being the most intresting to play, however. Yeah, the malkavian dialog is very well written And funny too. Reminds me a bit of playing arcanum with a dumbass ogre. It's nice when the developer adds those little touches. I went with persuasion but I get the feeling intimidation would work well with this guy. That guy in Santa Monica I couldn't stop laughing when he gave me the bullshit story about his military cop friend with the vicious rottweiler.
What guy? I don't remember that dialogue at all, and I played it 3x. The one waiting for the tow truck, standing by the corner of the building where Mercurio is.
I played as a stealthy Nosferatu and thought the first half of the game was really good. After that, the game took a big, fat dump on me for not maxing out my combat skills, and I started to view boss fights as chores. I will admit that clearing out the Leopold level without being seen and slaughtering their asses was pretty satisfying. I thought the boss, though, was total cheese.
Some great execution, and some downright awful execution. I played through as a Tremere. It got a bit tough, but I got through allright. Blood was easy to get especially after I maxed out little things, like seduction and picklocking, etc , so blood magic was always filled to the brim.
Fun ass game. Makes you wish that the company hadn't gone under. That's RPGs, and games in general, for you though. There's less meat as you go along. The ending is almost always the leanest part of the game.
While this is completely understandable, with regard to the development cycle, it still sort of sucks. I liked malkavians the best, honestly.
The ability to use one of the powers in dialogue, the overall selection of powers and even the later armors are just fun. Or, it could be that I just like the concept of having a conversation with a stopsign.
You have made a powerful enemy this day, sign. I played a Toreador and felt like I got everything out of this game that I was supposed to. Persuasion, Celerity and a badass sword- that's all you need. One of these days I'll get around to trying a tremere sniper or a sneaky malkavian, but I don't know if I'll enjoy it as much as I did the first time.
When my toreador ran into the werewolf for the first time, he whipped out his katana and ran into battle laughing. Until this point, everything that had stood in his way went down in a matter of seconds.
When I reloaded my quicksave, I had a more profound respect for the destructive abilities of the garou. Tweaked Cleopatra history to avoid making Obfuscate powerup useless.
Removed Fae Charm from Tseng to avoid bug on getting it from Isaac. Fixed blood doll sound and line so it doesn't refer to women as men. Made Fu Syndicate doors move slower and added a lantern to warrens. Disabled endless arrow spawning in the chests of first Temple level. Restored about hundred unused floats and removed bad ones for Kiki.
Fixed tutorial blood reset and improved Chunk Gallery Noir sequence. Opened beachhouse door on combat and moved blanket to Hannah's bed. Fixed Gary's photo sound, Ricky's glasses and improved emails order. Removed Grout's trigger after use and Murietta's key if not needed. October 26th, , Opinion without verifiable examples, i. So once you plagiarize the work of the community for your own ego and exploitation, you are forgiven without the megerist of apologizes and with absolutely no sign of remorse?
Releasing patches without significant improvements just to falsely increase the the numerical value to seem higher than the Unofficial patch, with the INTENT to mislead.
Dark Savant You are sooo wrong. Oh really, if that's true how is it, everyone seems to know this as a fact, except maybe you? Yes, that's correct for about 2. I don't know either but it's clear they are trying to currently steal the Unofficial name and Numerical System that has been in place for 3 YEARS, in the attempt to mislead, there is absolutely no other possible reason.
He sure did after this "true" patch form the camp Do you see the size of the Unofficial patch, since it seems you haven't been keeping up, over the development time there has been talk of adding a basic patch for more than a year. Of course after someone steals your work and passes it off as their own, seems to make sense to release the basic patch, whether it adds another 50 meg or not.
Anytime you would like to present some evidence to the situation that would be great to hear. I have been replaying Bloodlines with virtually all new releases from both camps.
Wesp's complete unofficial "patch" is an extensive modification of the game. Yes, there is some stupid game around numerical system and all that but who cares. If I want to play the game without any arbitrary changes, true to Troika's original vision or a least a close as possible - "true" patch is the one to install.
If you wish to play the game without any significant modification use "true" patch, if you want a bit different experience then use Wesp's patch. Both are great imho. Wesp was mentioned in the first release of the "true" patch. Maybe not properly credited, but certainly mentioned. I just have to look if I have a backup copy of the first release to verify this.
